Stamford Park Trust was formed in February 2019 with its founding member Ashton Sixth Form College. In 2021, Stamford Park Trust officially welcomed Longdendale High School and Rayner Stephens High School. Stamford Park Trust Sport, Community and Leisure is a unique partnership with Astley Sports Village offering our young people unrivalled dual use sport facilities across the trust. 

Over the years, Ashton, Londendale and Rayner Stephens have welcome thousands of students through their doors, ensuring their learners have the tools to achieve success in their future careers. Working together, they are now able to share experiences, best practices and guarantee that future generations of students have access to high quality teaching and unique opportunities that allow them to grow.

Ashton Sixth Form College

Ashton Sixth Form College is a leading provider of post-16 education in the Tameside borough. With years of experience, dedicated teaching, high expectations for learners and a diverse study programme, learners achieve and exceed. 
The college offers a range of A Level, Vocational and T Level courses. In 2020, 72% of students progressed to university, the highest number of students to do so from Ashton in the last four years.
Following an inspection in January 2020, Ashton Sixth Form College was given the highest possible rating by Ofsted, judging the college as OUTSTANDING in all areas. In 2020, the college was officially the top performing college in the borough for the fourth year running, according to the Department for Education (DfE). The college was also recognised as the fourth highest performing college in Greater Manchester.

Astley Sports Village

Astley Sports Village provides support to the academies curricular and extra curricular activities through Stamford Park Trust Sport, Community and Leisure. Students benefit from a very successful sports programme which includes football, rugby, handball, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, rounders, softball, athletics and cricket amongst others. They have access to outstanding on-site sporting facilities both at Astley Sports Village and at Ashton Sixth Form College and extensive partnerships with local sporting organisations.
Stamford Park Trust Sport, Community and Leisure also allows the Trust to engage and give back to their local community.

Longdendale High School

Rayner Stephens High School

Rayner Stephens is a warm and caring community for all students. We celebrate our students’ achievements and believe strongly in providing an
environment where all our young people are able to thrive. We are an inclusive 11 - 16 school, part of the family of schools that make up the Stamford Park Trust. Our values based, standards driven approach is underpinned by or core belief of ‘Excellence and Ambition for all’, which is promoted through our core values of Respect, Resilience and Aspiration.
We nurture and inspire our students, ensuring we develop curious minds and individual talents. Throughout school life we aim to create opportunities, broaden horizons and introduce challenges to support your child’s development.
Our staff are committed to ensure that students achieve their full potential regardless of their starting points. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and conduct at Rayner Stephens and this ensures we have both a productive and purposeful learning environment.
