SEND Law, Funding and Myths Conference

Dukinfield Golf Club
Our first SEND conference focused on working with children with additional needs, who are reliant on receiving effective additional provision and support. The day included:
- An understanding of what SEND myths are and why they are an issue
- A working understanding of the main aspects of SEND law on funding and EHCP process as it applies in England
- Confidence and insight to discuss these aspects and challenge local authorities and professionals where appropriate
- The knowledge and references to inform work done by parents and professionals
The day featured key note speaker Garry Freeman, a SEND consultant with a significant number of years’ experience, both as a school leader but also on a national level, working alongside the DFE and NASEN.
