Stamford Park Trust is delighted to announce a remarkable year of GCSE results for both Longdendale High School and Rayner Stephens High School. These exceptional outcomes reflect the dedication, resilience, and hard work of our students, staff, and the wider school communities. They also highlight the continuity of educational excellence within Stamford Park Trust as many of our top-performing students progress to Ashton Sixth Form College, ensuring they remain within our Trust’s supportive environment.

At Longdendale High School, the results demonstrate significant improvements across key subjects, particularly in English and Maths, with notable progress in the 9-4, 9-5, and 9-7 grade ranges. The school has also seen a rise in EBacc pass rates, underscoring its commitment to providing a well-rounded and balanced curriculum. This success extends to subjects such as triple Science, Computer Science, Health and Social Care, and History, where marked increases in student attainment were observed.

Andrea Jones, Head of School at Longdendale, who is retiring after 22 years of dedicated service, expressed her pride in the students' achievements. She stated, "These results are a reflection of the hard work and resilience of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our parents and the wider community. I am immensely proud of all our students and their accomplishments.”

Rayner Stephens High School also celebrated a record-breaking year, with a significant number of students securing placements in colleges and apprenticeships. The school's success in English, Maths, and other subjects, including Spanish and triple Science, highlights the exceptional efforts of both students and staff. Head of School, Martin Davies, praised the students' dedication, saying, "These results are a testament to their dedication and resilience. We are incredibly proud of this group of young people and their achievements."

One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s successes is the number of students choosing to continue their educational journey within Stamford Park Trust by progressing to Ashton Sixth Form College. This decision ensures that students like Lottie and Logan from Longdendale, as well as Blessing and Jovi from Rayner Stephens, will continue to benefit from the high standards of teaching and support that have been instrumental in their success so far.

Lottie, who achieved an impressive set of results, including two grade 9s, three grade 8s, and four grade 7s, will be studying Biology, Psychology, and Philosophy at Ashton Sixth Form College. She expressed her gratitude for the support she received at Longdendale, saying, "I am so grateful for all the support I have received from teachers and staff at Longdendale High School. Staying within Stamford Park Trust at Ashton Sixth Form College feels like a natural next step, and I am excited to continue my studies in such a supportive environment."

Similarly, Blessing is one student who excelled this year, achieving 9, 88, 7777 and 6. Blessing is progressing to Ashton Sixth Form College to join their XL Academy and studying Geography, History and Politics. Blessing played an integral role in life at Rayner Stephens as part of the Student Leadership Team and was hailed a role model for her peers. She commented “I’m happy with my results, I got what I needed to be able to progress to my next steps, I worked really hard to be able to get onto the High Achievers Programme at Ashton Sixth Form College.” She added “School has been the making of me, not only did it help me achieve but it allowed my personality to shine through and I can’t wait to continue this at Ashton Sixth Form College.

CEO of Stamford Park Trust Anton McGrath commented “Across our Trust, we have seen the benefit of collaboration and dedication with yet another year of improved outcomes for the young people who attend our schools.

Results have improved at all of our academies which is testament to the hard-work, professionalism and dedication of our staff who focused each and every day on supporting our students to realise their ambitions.
