Stamford Park Trust Remembrance Service
Today, we joined the nation in observing Remembrance Day - a time to honour and remember all those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.
We were honoured to host a Remembrance service at Ashton Sixth Form College, where students and staff from across our Trust academies came together alongside the Public Services department to pay tribute to the unsung heroes who gave their lives in war. Lead students from each academy laid a wreath on behalf of their schools during the service, to remember all who served in the First World War and in the conflicts that followed.
Public Services students, including Cadet Naomi, shared heartfelt reflections, and we were honoured to be joined by Revd Jean Hurlston, a former Chaplain at Ashton Sixth Form College.
This moment of remembrance reminded us of the importance of unity, gratitude and compassion, providing an opportunity for our Trust community to come together to remember and reflect. Thank you to everyone who joined us in paying their respects and taking part in the two-minute silence.
