Trust Academies Unite for Remembrance Day
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, schools across the Stamford Park Trust came together to honor those who have served and sacrificed in armed conflicts. Each academy held its own ceremony, allowing students, staff, and members of the local community to observe a two-minute silence in tribute to those who fought for freedom.
Throughout the week, assemblies and form times were dedicated to sharing the stories of local heroes, ensuring students understand the significance of Remembrance Day. Additionally, students engaged in creative projects, such as crafting poppies, to symbolise their respect and remembrance.
In a show of respect and unity, Head Students from both Rayner Stephens High School and Longdendale High School laid wreaths at local memorials on behalf of the Trust. Their presence highlighted the Trust's commitment to community engagement and honoring the legacy of those who served.
The Trust takes pride in raising awareness of Remembrance Day's importance and instilling a sense of respect and gratitude in the next generation.
