Why join us?

As a member of our Trust family, you will be able to participate in collaborative work with experienced and committed colleague from across all our academies.

It is our firm belief that collaboration strengthens decision-making, raises the quality of our day-to-day work and significantly benefits students, staff and our communities.

One of the significant benefits of belonging to a Trust community lies in the support afforded to academies. Many of the issues we face in education are shared and are common across all schools and colleges.

By working together, we are able to solve difficult problems, provide tangible support for each other as colleagues and resolve to do things better. A shared approach to school to school support is a key aspect of our offer. All schools have experts; tapping into to this resource across our Trust community brings benefits for all.

Through the pooling of talent across our Trust, we are able to focus relentlessly on developing the quality of education in our academies.

Supporting colleagues with curriculum development in cross Trust curriculum groups strengthens approaches to teaching and learning, reduces workload and provides support for curriculum teams. Examples of this include marking standardisation to secure assessment quality and joint resource development, to strengthen curriculum design and implementation.

The Trust, in collaboration with AMP SCITT working with Liverpool Hope University is a centre for Initial Teacher Training (ITT).

By working with AMP, we are able to develop a Trust-wide approach to teacher training which will in turn provide a secure pipeline of good quality teachers for our future.

In addition, the structure and size of the Trust provides opportunity for progression and promotion for talented members of staff. We also provide strong, focussed Continual Professional Development for all members of staff across the Trust, with generous CPD budgets and opportunities to support staff financially with their professional qualifications.

Our Trust Central Support Services provides professional expertise and knowledge which covers the requirements of any academy.

From income services to estates management, the Trust central services team is a one stop shop for all back office services.

The Trust surcharge (currently 5%) is used to provide these services at a competitive price, meaning a greater proportion of funding can be used to support the delivery of an outstanding curriculum experience.

The expectations and requirements on our governors have grown exponentially in the last few years.

As part of the Trust family of academies, we can provide bespoke, expert support and training for both Trustees and members of the Local Governing Bodies (LGB).

We are also able to offer legal, financial and audit support for all Trust academies through our central services team.

Joining Stamford Park Trust

Considering academy conversion and selecting a Multi-Academy Trust to work with is a pivotal and challenging decision for any school or college.

There are many things to consider when choosing a partner Trust to secure a successful future for your school or college. It is also important to understand that a decision to academise will lead to some significant change. Investing time and energy into completing your due diligence is essential for both parties and is central to the success of the process.

In 2022, the Department for Education reinforced its vision for every school to be part of a family of academies in strong Multi-Academy Trusts. Around 50% of students in the state education sector already learn in academies. Academy conversion and selecting the right Multi-Academy Trust will likely be the key strategic decisions in the near future.

Stamford Park Trust has a vison, mission and a set of values which we believe are attractive to schools and colleges. We understand that trust has to be earned; you need to get to know us and how we work before making any commitment.

The opportunity to work with a strong and growing network of like-minded schools and colleges is exciting and we would advocate the benefits of closer working relationships and support in an ever-changing and complex educational landscape.

Our offer is open to Single Academy Trusts and maintained schools with an interest in exploring greater collaboration and support in a more formalised structure. The benefits of peer-to-peer, school-to-school support and engagement are huge.

The support from our central team in developing common approaches such as quality assurance and appraisal has been a huge benefit. We are able to pull from a much wider skill set across the trust to ensure that our collaborative work is focused on the right areas with the right expertise and as such are able to collaborate more swiftly and effectively to enhance all our schools in the Trust.
Melanie Wicks, Executive Principal (Secondary)
Alongside the benefits of being part of the trust, we feel very much listened to, and have been able to retain our own school identity. The leaders of the trust recognise and appreciate the unique context of each institution and ensure that we are able to continue to flourish and improve.
Andrea Jones, Head of Longdendale High School
Since becoming a part of Stamford Park Trust we have been able to improve the facilities for the students and thus improving their learning environment. We can now boast four new science labs, a brand-new state of the art Food Technology room along with a fully refurbished Library. This not only shows the investment to the students but also to the staff and community as a whole.
Martin Davies, Head of Rayner Stephens
Ashton Sixth Form College benefits hugely from being an academy within Stamford Park Trust. Links between each academy’s pupil/student leadership groups has enabled our young people to share their ideas more widely and to develop networking skills.
Lisa Richards, Centre Principal at Ashton Sixth Form College
We work alongside Stamford Park Trust in our vision to create outstanding facilities and community provision that puts our venues at the heart of each community & to improve the health, fitness & sport opportunities to both students and community. This re-investment is further strengthening our working partnerships across the Trusts schools with Sports Teams and evidencing the positive benefit and impact dual used facilities can work for all parties involved as we continue to create outstanding facilities and outstanding community sport & leisure provision.
